Bang Bang, my bunny shot me down...

I have a new obsession -- big round sunglasses. It all started after I saw the amazingly quirky film, The Brothers Bloom. First of all, it was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Not only did the plot and acting captivate me, the fashion drew me in as well. The characters Penelope Stamp, played by Rachel Weisz, and Bang Bang, played by Rinko Kikuchi, both had wardrobes I would kill for. Penelope was innocent and demure in her stylish dresses, black tights, and interesting coats. Bang Bang was simply a badass. She had an outfit to fit every occasion. The item she wore that I coveted the most was, of course, her sunglasses. I found similar ones on the Free People website and bought them immediately. And recently, I discovered Jenny Lewis' new video for "See Fernando," in which she plays a spy and also wears big round sunglasses! So obviously, I'm in good company. These sunglasses were made for con-women and spies. Which one will I be?

Bunnicula

There is not a new episode of True Blood tonight! This is greatly disappointing because it is what I look forward to every week. To subdue my "blood lust," I made a style guide for the heroine of True Blood, Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie is always very ladylike, although sometimes scantily clad, but who can blame her in the sweltering Louisiana heat?

Lola

One of my favorite names. The name of Bugs Bunny's girlfriend. The name of Marc Jacobs' new perfume. It doesn't hit shelves until August, and I have to have it the day it comes out. I don't even care how it smells; I am absolutely in love with the bottle and, as mentioned earlier, the name. But by judging the way Marc Jacobs' former fragrance, Daisy, smells, I'm sure it will be just as intoxicating. Lola is described as the sexier, older sister of Daisy. The countdown begins.
